Turning Film Into a Game Plan - Part 3
Welcome to our 3-part series, “Turning Film Into a Game Plan.” At Legacy Sports Intelligence, we’re on a mission to simplify the complexity of the game. In this series, we’ll walk you through how LSI and DONA—the Diamond Neural Advisor—turn your opponent’s film into clear, actionable game plans. Whether you’re scouting an ace pitcher or prepping your lineup for regionals, you’ll see how analytics can save you hours and sharpen your strategy.
⚾ Part 3: Building the Game Plan — From Analytics to Advantage
This is where everything comes together. You’ve got the data, the visuals, and the confidence—now it’s time to turn it into a game-winning plan.
Step 1: Identify the Target Zone
Pull up DONA’s strike zone visualization. Focus on her weak quadrants. For example:
The data shows her dropball hangs in Zone 5 on 1-1 counts 42% of the time.
Now you know exactly when and where your hitters can attack.
Step 2: Match Your Hitters to the Plan
Each hitter’s LSI profile shows their contact quality by zone and pitch type. If your 3-hole hitter crushes low inside pitches, DONA recommends attacking early counts with an aggressive approach in that window.
Step 3: Simulate Scenarios
Use the Game Model module to create a simulated matchup between your lineup and the opposing pitcher. You’ll see projections like:
Expected batting average per zone
Optimal swing decisions
Pitch sequencing forecasts
Step 4: Print & Share
Finally, export the report into a Pocket Card or team-ready scouting sheet. Your players walk into the game knowing the plan, not guessing it.
That’s the power of LSI and DONA:
Hours of film → 10-minute upload
Confusion → Clarity
Guessing → Strategy
